We are a small handmade brand. We have never tested on animals. There is no testing infrastructure here — just two people making lotion for a baby they love.
Ethically Sourced
Fair trade certified sourcing from Ghana and Sri Lanka. The plant ingredients were obtained from communities treated and compensated fairly.

We are a small handmade brand making baby skincare in a kitchen in Houston. We have never tested on animals and never will. There is no testing infrastructure here — there are two people making lotion for a baby they love, using the same ingredients they put on their own family.
Proof there are no synthetic or animal-derived preservatives extending the shelf life.
The short shelf life is a vegan signal too.
The ingredients that extend conventional baby lotion shelf life to two years include synthetic preservatives that can be petroleum-derived or processed with animal products. Water-free formulas with short shelf lives do not require them.
Our lotion lasts 30 days after opening. Not because we failed to preserve it. Because we refused to add the things that would have.
We will not call the balm vegan-friendly.

The vegan community has seen too many brands hedge this language. Beeswax-friendly. Bee-derived. Naturally produced by bees. We are not going to do that.

No. The Diaper Balm contains beeswax which is an animal product produced by bees. We are clear about this on every page it appears on. The Baby Lotion is your fully vegan option.
Is shea butter vegan?
Yes. Shea butter is derived from the nut of the shea tree. Entirely plant based and vegan with no animal involvement in its production.
Is coconut oil vegan?
Yes. Coconut oil is pressed from coconut flesh. Entirely plant derived and vegan.
Have the products been tested on animals?
No. We are a small handmade brand and have never tested on animals. We do not have a testing operation — we have two people making lotion in a kitchen for a baby they love.

Why does the lotion have a short shelf life?
No preservatives. Water-free formulas are naturally stable but still have a shorter shelf life than preserved products. The short shelf life means there are no synthetic or animal-derived preservatives extending it. Opened: 30 days. Unopened: 3 months from batch date.
