Beeswax creates a harder surface that naturally limits contamination. Store in a cool dry place.

What a barrier cream actually does.

Most diaper rashes come down to one thing — skin that stays in contact with moisture too long. Urine and stool break down the skin's natural barrier over time, and once that happens irritation sets in fast.

A barrier cream's job is simple: create a physical shield between your baby's skin and the moisture. Hold it there through every wipe and every change. Beeswax does exactly that — it sits on the surface and creates a breathable, water-repelling barrier without clogging pores. Shea butter keeps the skin beneath it soft and conditioned. Coconut oil's lauric acid works actively against the yeast and bacteria that contribute to rash.

Who this balm is great for.
And who should use caution.

Great For

This balm works well for

  • Babies with sensitive skin prone to diaper rash
  • Parents looking for a natural barrier cream alternative
  • Babies reacting to conventional diaper creams
  • Routine prevention and protection at every change
  • Newborns through toddlers at any stage
  • Halal and kosher households
Use Caution If

We do not hide this

  • Not vegan. Beeswax is an animal product. Our Baby Lotion is 100% plant based if that matters to you.
  • Bee or honey allergy. Rare but real. Consult your pediatrician before use if your baby has a known bee or honey allergy.
  • Tree nut allergy. Shea butter comes from the shea tree nut. Risk is considered very low but consult your pediatrician if there is a known allergy.
  • Active severe rash. This balm prevents and protects. It does not treat an active yeast infection or bacterial rash. See your pediatrician for those.

We tell you this upfront because we want you to buy the right product, not just our product. If this balm is not right for your baby we would rather you know before you buy. See our full ingredients page.

Three ingredients vs. fifteen.

A conventional diaper cream typically contains 15 to 20 ingredients. Some parents want that clinical approach and there is nothing wrong with it. This balm is for parents who want to know every single thing on their baby's skin.

We included the honest row. This balm is not a treatment for an active severe rash. It is a natural prevention and protection product. We think you deserve to know the difference.

Longer than the lotion. Still honest.

Questions about the balm

How do I apply it?

Apply a thin layer at every diaper change. Warm a small amount between your fingertips first — body heat softens the beeswax and makes it spread smoothly. You are creating a barrier, not a thick coat. A little goes a long way.

Can I use it on a rash that is already there?

For mild irritation yes. For a moderate to severe rash or a suspected yeast infection, see your pediatrician first. This balm is a prevention and protection product. It is not designed to treat an active infection. We are honest about this because it matters.

Does it leave residue on diapers?

A small amount of transfer is normal with any barrier cream. Beeswax is naturally water-repelling so some residue on the diaper is expected and harmless.

Is it safe for newborns?

Yes. All three ingredients are food grade and naturally derived. Always patch test on a small area first as you would with any new product on newborn skin.

Why does it not have zinc oxide?

Zinc oxide is a synthetic mineral compound that treats active diaper rash effectively. We chose not to include it because this balm is built for parents who want a fully natural, minimal ingredient formula. Coconut oil's natural antifungal properties provide active protection against the organisms that cause rash. If your baby needs zinc oxide treatment for an active rash, use it — then switch to this for prevention once the rash has cleared.

Can adults use it?

Yes. Shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax together make an excellent general purpose skin balm for chapped skin, dry patches, and skin protection. Works well on hands, elbows, lips, and anywhere needing a protective barrier.

Three ingredients.
A real barrier.
Made fresh.

Protection you can pronounce at every single change.
