Three ingredients across our entire product line. That is not a marketing claim. It is the complete list.
This page tells you everything about every ingredient we use — what it is, where it comes from, what it does, who it is great for, and who should use caution or avoid it. We do not hide the last part.

A rich natural fat cold pressed from the nut of the shea tree, native to West Africa. Unrefined means it has not been processed, bleached, or deodorized — everything naturally present is still in it including vitamins A, E, and F.
Where it comes fromWest Africa. The shea tree grows wild across the savanna belt and shea butter has been used by communities there for centuries — for cooking, for skin, for hair, for newborn care. This is not a trend ingredient. It is one of the most widely used natural skin preparations in the world.
What it doesDeeply moisturizes without clogging pores. Naturally anti-inflammatory. Vitamins A and E support skin cell regeneration. Vitamin F — a combination of linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids — helps maintain the skin's natural barrier. Absorbs well when warmed and blended properly with coconut oil.
Oil cold pressed from fresh coconut meat without heat or chemical processing. Virgin means unrefined — the natural compounds, and nutritional properties are intact.
Where it comes fromPrimarily Southeast Asia and South Asia. Coconut oil has been central to traditional medicine and infant care across India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and the broader region for centuries. Ayurvedic practice uses it specifically for baby massage and skin conditioning. This is a deeply established traditional ingredient, not a wellness industry invention.
What it doesLightweight moisturizer that absorbs without heavy residue when blended properly. Rich in lauric acid — a medium-chain fatty acid with natural antifungal and antimicrobial properties. In the Diaper Balm this provides active protection against the yeast and bacteria that contribute to diaper rash, not just passive moisturizing.
Natural wax produced by honeybees to build honeycomb. Collected, filtered, and used as a skin ingredient for thousands of years. One of the oldest cosmetic and medicinal ingredients in recorded history.
Where it comes fromBeehives. Beeswax is an animal-derived product. It is not vegan. Our Baby Lotion contains no beeswax and is 100% plant based. The Diaper Balm contains beeswax because it is what creates the physical barrier function the balm is designed to provide. We are upfront about this because it matters to many of our customers.
What it doesCreates a physical moisture barrier on the skin surface. Unlike petrolatum-based barriers, beeswax is breathable — it repels moisture without sealing the skin completely. In the Diaper Balm it sits on top of the conditioning layer and shields the skin from urine and stool between diaper changes. Non-comedogenic. Anti-inflammatory. Naturally antimicrobial.
Most brands do not have an ingredients page like this one. Legal and marketing teams generally advise against drawing attention to who should not use a product.
We disagree with that approach entirely.
If a product is not right for your baby we would rather you know before you order. Every ingredient we use has been chosen because it does a specific job and has a long history of safe use. We have not added anything for shelf life, texture, fragrance, or appearance.
What you see on this page is exactly what is in the jar. Nothing else is in there. If you have a specific question about an ingredient this page does not answer, contact us directly.
